Apartment Blu-ray Blu-ray or something like it'The Apartment' Director: Billy Wilder (1960) While Wilder's much mentioned cynicism is on display 'The Apartment' is also joyful and endearing. Insurance company drone 'C. C. Baxter' (Jack Lemmon), in an attempt to progress in the company, allows executives to use his apartment for trysts. Word spreads and the big boss (Fred MacMurray) becomes involved. Things are further complicated when C. C. falls hard for a woman (Shirley MacLaine) himself.
